This session was delivered at WordCamp Canada 2026: https://canada.wordcamp.org/2026/session/intro-to-wordpress-the-dashboard/
This session is designed for complete beginners, assuming they have little or no exposure to WordPress. For transparency, I took a bunch of my previous presentations on this subject and ran them through an AI to better detail the steps that I would normally run through ad hoc, as well as check that my methods and details were up to date.
I would really appreciate any feedback from this session or the other! I’m still working on the site here, so please feel free to reach out to me and let me know how you would make it better.
Thank you to everyone who came out and who had the patience to stick around until the very, very end. I’m sorry that I didn’t get through everything, but glad we got to answer specific questions and address concerns that people brought to the session. Please reach out and let me know how you all made out!
